Kirsten Stoddart is an Australian born writer and production person with a career spanning over ten years. Now living in Manchester in the UK, she is pursuing postgraduate research into the underrepresentation of women in professional television screenwriting for SVOD at the University of Salford.
She also holds an MA in Scriptwriting from Bath Spa University, and a Diploma of Screen and Media from the Sydney Film School.
Her original play, BRB, written with Irish director and writer, Jessie Kirby, debuted in 2013 at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival and went on to play to audiences in Cork, Kilkenny, and Dungarvan.
In 2016, Kirsten also commenced work on a community film for the RNIB’s Sensing Culture project. Other community-based projects have included Project Z, which was a theatre development project engaging LGBTQ youth in the Co. Waterford area.
